“Lassie – A New Adventure” inspired the children’s jury at the “Golden Spatz” children’s media festival. The production by director Hanno Olderdissen was awarded a “Golden Spatz” in the feature film category. “Because it was exciting from the first to the last minute,” said the children’s jury, among other things. The award is also associated with the Thuringian Prime Minister’s special prize for the director, which is endowed with 1,500 euros.
Traditionally, children at the festival view the entries and then decide on the winners. This year they awarded a total of seven “Golden Sparrows” as trophies in different categories. The children’s jury for cinema and television contributions consisted of 29 children aged 9 to 13. They came from Germany and parts of German-speaking countries and viewed 32 posts. In addition, a separate children’s jury honored the best digital media offer: “CheX! Ukraine Special” – a web show by Bavarian Radio.
The audience award for the best youth film went to “Sonne und Beton”, a film adaptation of the autobiography of the comedian and author Felix Lobrecht.
