Actor Jonathan Majors (33) is accused of domestic violence. According to the current status, he will have to appear in court from August 3 due to an incident in March. However, Majors claims that he is allegedly the victim in the case – and not the woman who sued. According to a media report, he is said to have lodged a complaint with the police.

Majors appeared in court for the first time about a week ago. According to the industry portal “Variety”, the trial date was set for August 3rd. The 33-year-old, known from films like “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “Creed III – Rocky’s Legacy”, was temporarily arrested at the end of March. The charges revolve around an alleged altercation with a 30-year-old woman who is said to have been assaulted by Majors. A New York police statement said the woman was taken to a hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck.” A spokesman for Majors vehemently denied the allegations at the time.

Major’s attorney Priya Chaudhry said in a statement after the hearing a week ago that the actor’s side had presented evidence that the plaintiff had assaulted the actor – and not vice versa. According to news website Insider, Majors filed a domestic violence complaint with the New York City Police Department the following day. In this, the 33-year-old also claims that he was the one who was attacked. The corresponding complaint and an affidavit by Major should be available.

The woman, the actor’s ex-girlfriend, was said to have been “drunk and hysterical,” according to the complaint. Among other things, she scratched and hit him, which is why Majors suffered pain and bled.

The US celebrity portal “TMZ” had previously reported, citing available court documents, that a driver should be able to testify to what happened between the actor and the woman in March. Accordingly, he is said to have seen that the woman had attacked Majors. Majors is said to have “never [beaten] the alleged victim in any way or even raised his voice”.
