For weeks there has been speculation about Prince Harry (39) and Duchess Meghan (42)’s deal with Netflix, which is supposed to expire in 2025. After three productions that have appeared so far and one discontinued project, it is far from over. According to Netflix, a total of three series and one film about the royals are currently planned.
“Oh, what are they working on…” Bela Bajaria, Chief Content Officer at Netflix, said at an event according to the industry portal “Deadline” and then explained: “They have two unscripted things that they are working on with Brandon [Riegg ] are working on. And they have a bunch of projects in development, they have a movie in development and a scripted series they’re working on. So it’s all in very early stages of development, with a movie, a TV series and two unscripted shows.” It will probably take some time before one of the projects appears.
Bajaria has already described the film as “great”. There are no further details yet. However, in the summer of 2023, the British tabloid “The Sun” reported that Harry and Meghan’s production company Archewell Productions had acquired the rights to a film adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel “Meet Me at the Lake”.
