Almost seven years after the death of pop and country singer Gunter Gabriel, according to a “Bild” report, his daughter Yvonne has released a previously unknown song in which the singer stands up for the farmers. The title is “The farmer fills our plates for all of us”. The song is now available on streaming platforms.
Yvonne Gabriel told “Bild”: “Due to the concerns of the farmers in the country, I remembered the song that my father had previously only played live. He wrote it in Hanover in 1991 and recorded it there as a demo. My father had great respect before the work of farmers and loved them very much. They provide our daily bread, he always said.” She is proud that her father suspected what would happen so long ago, said the daughter, referring to the current protests by farmers.
Gunter Gabriel became known in the 1970s with hits like “He’s a guy (The 30 Tonner Diesel)” and “Hey Boss, I need more money”. He died in June 2017 at the age of 75.
