When Raymond Allen “Ray” Liotta (1954-2022) surprisingly passed away in May last year, the shock was equally deep among colleagues and fans. At the time, the Hollywood star with the striking facial features was in the Dominican Republic while filming the film “Dangerous Waters”.

After failing to show up on the film set without notice, concerned crew members found him dead in his hotel room. The later autopsy revealed that the actor, famous for his portrayal of Mafiosi Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s (80) classic film “Goodfellas”, suffered from pulmonary edema and succumbed to acute cardiac arrest.

Like the Academy of Television Arts

According to a report by the “Daily Mail”, his daughter Karsen Liotta (24) was deeply moved by her father’s nomination. In a personal statement, she said: “I am so grateful to the members of the Television Academy for honoring my father with this nomination. He was so incredibly proud of his performance on ‘Black Bird’ and it would mean the world to him to be nominated alongside Taron and Paul”. – The latter two are Liotta’s “Black Bird” colleagues Taron Egerton (33) and Paul Walter Hauser (36), who are also nominated for one of this year’s Emmys.
