Xavier Naidoo (51) is said to have been involved in a car accident in Austria. As reported by the “Kronen Zeitung”, among others, the musician is said to have lost control of his car on Saturday (July 22) in Upper Austria’s Mühlviertel and rammed a pedestrian on the sidewalk. The allegedly 39-year-old man was thrown against the windshield and injured, but was able to leave the hospital on the same day, according to the police report.

According to the “Kronen Zeitung”, Naidoo told the local police that he had lost control of his powerful vehicle due to a violent sneezing fit. The founder of the Söhne Mannheims group was on his way to the Czech Republic when the accident happened. An alcohol test on the person who caused the accident was negative.

It is currently unknown why the singer should have been on his way to the Czech Republic. In recent years, Naidoo has repeatedly been criticized for the conspiracy stories he has spread, but in April last year he distanced himself from previous statements with the words “I recognized the wrong ways I was sometimes on”. He gave the outbreak of the Ukraine War as the reason for his change of heart. According to his own statement, Naidoo is married to a Ukrainian.
