“Morten Karlsen and I, together with the board the last time discussed the possible extension of cooperation from next summer, but since Morten had a desire to try something new, we took in the HB Køge this note and found that we also wanted to look at alternative cheftrænermuligheder,” says HB Køge executive director Per Rud to the HB Køge website.

“Morten Karlsen has first as a player and most recently as the head coach been at the heart of HB Køge and set the direction for us. I consider him as one of the country’s most exciting trænernavne. He is curious, bold and open, a modern looking,” continues Per Rud.
He announces that he hopes to be able to introduce a new head coach ‘in the near future’.
the 40-year-old Morten Karlsen, who has a past as a player and U19 coach at FC Nordsjælland, says so in the press release:
“I have been incredibly happy for the cooperation with HB Køge, Jestbahis but wanted to try something new after the expiry of my contract. I have had a constructive dialogue with the Per Rud, and we are jointly reached to terminate the collaboration now, as this is the best for the club. I wish everyone in and around the HB Køge luck and happiness in the future.”
