Claudia Schiffer (53) has returned to the Versace catwalk after five years. The legendary 1990s supermodel closed the Italian fashion label’s Spring 2024 show at Milan Fashion Week on Friday evening (September 22).
Schiffer presented a floor-length green and silver checkerboard dress. The look was rounded off with subtle make-up and pointed heels in metallic silver with a bow at the base of the foot. “Great Versace show tonight!” enthused the German model afterwards on his Instagram page. She is “excited” to be with her “dear friend” Donatella Versace (68). She and Vogue magazine shared a video of the walk on Instagram.
In an interview with the fashion magazine, the mother of three said that she did not have to prepare specifically for the appearance. “I always stay really healthy. I exercise and make sure I get a good night’s sleep.” The last time Schiffer walked the catwalk was in 2018. At that time she walked the catwalk with Carla Bruni (55), Naomi Campbell (53), Cindy Crawford (57) and Helena Christensen (54) alongside Donatella Vesace. She has had a 30-year friendship with the Italian designer. Versace was happy on her Instagram account that she was able to get Claudia Schiffer back for her show: “You are a Versace icon through and through,” she said to the German supermodel. “An incredible entrepreneur, mother and my favorite blonde.”
Many Instagram users, however, expressed criticism of Schiffer’s appearance. They complained that the model couldn’t walk. “What happened to her walk?” was said, for example. Another follower said: “She’s never been good at walking but her face is just stunning.”
