Spanish actress Penélope Cruz (49) shone on the red carpet at a screening of the film “Ferrari”. She attended the 61st annual New York Film Festival on Friday night (October 13) with other stars of the flick. The 49-year-old wore a floral print dress to the event that stood out with its short, white lace sleeves.
The robe fell to the floor, revealing open, black platform pumps underneath. The actress also combined a black leather clutch with her outfit. The Oscar winner wore her dark mane loose and styled straight.
Penélope Cruz’s “Ferrari” co-star Shailene Woodley (31) opted for simple elegance at the event in New York. The US actress presented a pantsuit consisting of a dark blue blazer and matching, slim-fitting trousers. Also present were Adam Driver (39), who plays the leading role of Enzo Ferrari, and director Michael Mann (80). He is said to have worked on the “Ferrari” project for more than 15 years.
The focus of “Ferrari” is the life and career of entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari. Penélope Cruz plays the late racing driver’s wife, Laura, while Shailene Woodley plays his lover Lina Lardi.
Filming the film was obviously tough, as Adam Driver revealed to the US industry portal “Variety”. In one scene, the actor had to drive a vintage sports car that had been converted so that a camera could be attached to it. “It teleports you back in time and you realize that if you steer left or right wrong, you’re dead,” the film star explained. He added: “At least there are seat belts in the newer cars.”
