Linda, 66 and Patrick, 72, were enchanted as they talked about how sparks first flew during a group chat in 2020. This was before FaceTiming, before moving to ‘two to three hours’ Zoom calls each night.

They will be seen in Catch Me If You Can, a new Broadway thriller that opens next month on a national tour.
Patrick stated, “It’s a Covid love story.” Although we didn’t spend nearly four months together, we still spoke every day.
“We continued to text and Facetime became texting, and we zoomed every night for 2 or 3 hours. Texting was a constant and continuous habit for us. After the third dinner, we didn’t have that. Do I kiss her? Do you want to take her to your house?

Linda, who played Ashley Pfister on Happy Days 10 in the early 1980s added: “As we were about the end meeting, Patrick said “see you tomorrow, love you.”

Patrick, who was Bobby Ewing’s character on Dallas, said that he zoomed the next day it looked like …”hi. I drove 23 hours to get my car to her door and have never been apart since.

Linda said, “I don’t believe it would have happened differently because in our normal lives before the pandemic, we wouldn’t’ have had three hours Zoom. But we did.”

Linda is branded “the most beautiful thing” by Patrick: “I didn’t look for love, but it found me.”

Linda and Patrick began dating in July 2020.

Patrick described their relationship in a November 2020 interview. He said that he had lost hope of dating again after the death of Carlyn Rosser (a ballet dancer), who died in 2017.

“We started texting, then FaceTiming, then Zooming… We did a 2-to-3-hour Zoom every night… It’s a great way to get to know someone really well.

Linda was a great chatter and the actor enjoyed chatting with her during lockdown. He was quick to rush to see Linda once the restrictions were lifted.

“I asked permission to kiss her and have been together since then.

Patrick said that his love for Linda was a surprise to him. He explained that he had never dreamed that he would fall in love with Linda again after his wife’s passing.

He admitted that he had never imagined this would happen again. It was the first time I had ever felt this way. I am in an extremely happy relationship.
