Melissa Damilia (28) is one of the best-known candidates in the new season of “Bachelor in Paradise” (eight episodes from November 3rd on RTL). After Chanelle Wyrsch, a Swiss “Bachelorette,” again sought happiness in love on the dating show in 2021, Damilia, a “Bachelorette” from RTL, will be there for the first time. But the 28-year-old didn’t just make a name for herself as a rose distributor in 2020, she was also seen in other TV formats.
The make-up artist and influencer (around 418,000 followers on Instagram) who lives in Stuttgart initially took part in the RTLzwei dome show “Love Island” in 2019. In the third season she left the format voluntarily because her search for the man of her dreams was unsuccessful. “DSDS” star Pietro Lombardi (31), with whom she became involved shortly afterwards, was also not supposed to become the man for life.
In 2020, Damilia became a candidate in the first season of the RTLzwei reality format “Battle of the Reality Stars”. In it, celebrities have to live together in a “sala” and play games. In the end, the influencer took fourth place. During the broadcast of the show it became known that Damilia wanted to find love on TV again and was starting out as the new “Bachelorette”. In 2020, she succeeded Gerda Lewis (30) and ultimately decided on Leander Sacher in the seventh season of the dating show, with whom she then had a relationship. In spring 2022 she announced her separation from the entrepreneur. A liaison with reality TV colleague Paco Herb (27) was only short-lived.
She returned to “Love Island” in a special role in 2021. Damilia moderated the aftertalk together with Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht (31). In March 2022 she was seen in the program “Prominent and Caregiver” (RTLzwei), in which stars take on the role of temporary nursing staff. Damilia’s other TV appearances include her participation in the RTLzwei show “Skate Fever – Stars on Roller Skates”, in which celebrities competed against each other in several shows and fought for the coveted roller skating trophy with choreographies.
Now Damilia will try to find the right man in a paradisiacal atmosphere. As a contestant on “Bachelor in Paradise,” she introduces herself with the life motto “Go your way and let people talk” and explains that selfishness and people who only think from A to B get her up in arms. She describes her flaws as follows: “I’m an overthinker and a perfectionist.”
