Brad Pitt claims that Angelina Jolie, ex-Angelina Jolie, “contributed nothing” towards the success of Miraval’s wine business. She deliberately sold her stake to “strangers with poisonous associations or intentions”.

Brad Pitt accuses Angelina Jolie, ex-Angelina Jolie, of tarnishing the reputation of their wine business by selling her half of it to a “stranger.”

The now-exs, who have six children, purchased a controlling stake at Chateau Miraval in South France in 2008. They later married and shared many family holidays.

Pitt, 58, filed a new court filing in his ongoing fight with Jolie over Miraval. He claims that Jolie (47), intentionally “wanted to inflict damage on” him by selling Jolie’s interests in the wine business. Pitt claims that they had both agreed not to sell their interests in the family business without each other’s consent.

PEOPLE reached Jolie for comment but she did not respond immediately.

In documents filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday, Pitt’s legal team states that Miraval was his “passion” project and that it grew into a multi-million-dollar business and “one of the most highly regarded producers in rose wine around the world” because of his work. Jolie is accused by the actor of “nothing” to Miraval’s success.

According to Pitt’s lawyers, Jolie had planned to sell her October interest to Tenute del Mondo. Tenute del Mondo is “bent to taking control of Miraval,” and is “indirectly owned by and controlled” by Yuri Shefler (Russian billionaire who owns the Stoli Group).

Pitt’s team filed a statement stating that Jolie pursued and concluded the purported sale in secret, deliberately keeping Pitt in the dark and violating his contractual rights.

Pitt claims Jolie’s company Nouvel owed Mondo Bongo the right to first refusal. Pitt also sued. Jolie, who filed for divorce back in 2016, was cleared to sell her part of the estate in September.

Pitt’s team claims that Shefler launched a hostile Takeover of Miraval, and is trying to obtain “confidential” and proprietary information for his rival enterprise. According to the documents, Shefler is accused of using “cutthroat business strategies and dubious professional association,” which “jeopardizes” the reputation of Pitt’s brand. “Jolie tried to force Pitt into a partnership with a stranger and, worse, with someone with poisonous intentions and associations.”
