The US comedian and actor Kevin Hart (44, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”) will receive this year’s Mark Twain Prize for humor.
This was announced by the organizers at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Hart has made the world laugh with his iconic characters for more than three decades, said Kennedy Center President Deborah Rutter. She praised his achievements as an author, producer, actor and comedian.

After stars such as Whoopi Goldberg, Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres, Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray, Jon Stewart and Adam Sandler, Hart is the 25th recipient of the prestigious award. He is scheduled to receive the award at a gala with prominent entertainers on March 24th. The award has been presented since 1998 by the Kennedy Center in memory of the great American humorist Mark Twain (1835-1910).
