Odine Johne has prepared very intensively for the role as LKA investigator in the new crime series “Lauchhammer”. “I learned a lot about the work of profilers and detectives, did a number of push-ups and got a driver’s license for this role,” said the 35-year-old actress in an ARD interview on the six-part drama series.

The audience knows the busy actress, among other things, from several appearances in “Tatort” thrillers and the series “Fritzie – Heaven must wait” on ZDF. “Lauchhammer – Death in Lusatia” begins on Wednesday at 8:15 p.m. in the first.

What attracted you to the role of investigator Annalena Gottknecht? “At first glance, Annalena may seem inaccessible, she’s totally dedicated to her job, she’s very good at what she does. And she’s kept her sense of humor. I liked her mix of concreteness and mystery. You don’t learn much about privately, I found these gaps appealing to fill.”

Johne found some things about the investigator character particularly challenging: “Annalena is in a data frenzy, remembers all the information and spits it out quite calmly, and she also handles several electronic devices at the same time. It was important for the role and to make it seem effortless a challenge.” Johne finds “Lauchhammer” to be a “very atmospheric series, in which not only the people but also the landscape becomes its own protagonist”.
