Robert “Bob” McCarron (72) will no longer appear as camp doctor Medic Bob in the new season of “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!”, the original UK edition of the jungle camp. A spokesman for the production company confirmed this to the “Mirror”. Fans had therefore feared that McCarron would also lose his position as crowd favorite Dr. Bob in the German edition “I’m a star – get me out of here!” could give up.

RTL has now given the all-clear. “All fans can breathe a sigh of relief: Dr. Bob is on ‘I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!’ 2023 back at the start,” it says on “RTL.de”. In the 16th season of the jungle camp, Dr. So Bob takes care of the prominent residents again and enlightens them about possible dangers in the wilderness and during the jungle tests. The trained paramedic won’t have to go far because the reality format is returning to his homeland.

After the trip to South Africa in 2022, the RTL show will be produced again in the usual Australia next year. Next to presenter Sonja Zietlow (54) there will no longer be Daniel Hartwich (44), who left for family reasons. He is replaced by his colleague Jan Köppen (39).

McCarron was first hired as Medical Bob on the 2002 British original “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!” which will also return to Australia without him after spending in Wales. 2004 saw the first assignment as Dr. Bob for the RTL jungle camp.
