Another mask fell on Saturday evening – and actress Jutta Speidel (68) hid behind it! During the second broadcast of the current season of “The Masked Singer”, Speidel was revealed to be the walrus Waltraut. However, the advice team around Ruth Moschner (46) was on the wrong track. Neither Moschner nor Eko Fresh (39) and Carolin Kebekus (42) guessed the 68-year-old. “I thought nobody would guess me, because it’s too absurd,” Speidel explained the difficulties of the advice team in an interview with ProSieben.
Moschner and Co. previously suspected Janine Kunze (48), Sandra Maischberger (56) or Tina Ruland (56). For Speidel, this confusion was “funny, in any case”. She decided to take part in “The Masked Singer” because “the nice way in which I was approached was really decisive”. Although she was offered a new acting project for the same period, she ultimately decided on the advice show because she had never tried such a format.
Already in the first episode the walrus Waltraut was about to be eliminated. “It’s not nice when you’re at the end of this row for the second time,” said Speidel. In the end, however, it was “clear” to her that she would fall out this time. “I have to say that I had such a great singing coach, which also makes me a little sad that it’s over now. I had so much fun,” she recalled of her time with “The Masked Singer”.
Jutta Speidel celebrated her breakthrough as an actress in the 1970s. She is best known for her roles in TV series such as “Three are one too many”, “Forsthaus Falkenau” and “For Heaven’s sake”.
