Jennifer Lawrence’s (32) meteoric rise was not easy for her to process. “I think I’ve lost control,” the actress admitted while speaking to Francine Stock for the London Film Festival’s Screen Talk series, Variety reports. “Between ‘The Hunger Games’ and my Oscar win, I became something of a commodity, so I felt like every decision was a group decision. Looking back now, I can’t remember the years that followed, it was just a loss of control,” the 32-year-old opened up.
However, Lawrence now feels that she has regained her own identity. “It feels personal for the first time in a long time,” she explained.
The interview took place as part of the promotion for her new film “Causeway”. Lawrence plays Lynsey, a soldier who suffers a traumatic brain injury after her deployment in Afghanistan and has difficulties adjusting to her civilian life in the USA. Lawrence is not only on board as the lead actress, she is also part of the film’s production team.
Work on “Causeway” began in 2019, but was suspended for a long time due to the corona pandemic. Meanwhile, Lawrence married her now-husband Cooke Maroney and gave birth to their first child, son Cy, in early 2022. Meanwhile, the team at Causeway continued to refine the film’s script. The flick is set to come to Apple TV on November 4, 2022.
