Andrea Berg (57) has done it again. With her new album “Christmas” she landed at number one in the Official German Charts, determined by GfK Entertainment. This means the German pop singer has 13 number one albums to her name and is the most successful female act in the album charts. US pop star Madonna (65) has twelve number one records.
On November 17th, Andrea Berg released her new album “Christmas”. The motto of the work: “Modern and traditional at the same time”. Self-written songs as well as Christmas classics can be heard on the album, including the songs “Dezembertraum”, “Christmas”, “Küss mich unterm Mistletoe” as well as “Schneeflöckchen, Weißröckchen”, “Feliz Navidad” and “Silent Night”.
Till Lindemann (60) landed in second place in the album charts with “Zunge”, while Kontra K (36) secured third place with “Nobody steals hope from me”. Feinecreme Fischfilet takes fourth place with “Everything shines” and in fifth place is Shirin David (28) with “Bitches need rap”. As GfK announced on Friday (November 24th), Andrea Berg’s album is one of the ten ranked holiday albums this week. A total of 15 Christmas titles also landed in the single charts.
The Wham! classic “Last Christmas” climbed to tenth place, Mariah Carey’s (54) “All I Want For Christmas Is You” made it to number twelve.
