Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow (“Shakespeare in Love”) finds her life as a 50-year-old in her own words “fantastic”. “I feel really inspired by turning 50,” said Paltrow, who celebrated her milestone birthday at the end of September.

“I used to worry so much about what people thought of me,” the US magazine “People” quoted the actress as saying at an event for her lifestyle company Goop on Sunday. She no longer cares about the opinions of others.

“By the time I turned 40, I was a wreck,” Paltrow said. “I was really in a kind of mid-life crisis.” The actress was at the time married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, with whom she has two children and whom she divorced in 2016. As Paltrow wrote in British “Vogue” in 2020, she already had an inkling in 2010 that she didn’t want to stay with Martin.

“I knew I wanted to leave my marriage,” she said. “So there was a lot going on inside me.” Two years after her split from Martin, Paltrow married screenwriter and producer Brad Falchuk (“Glee”), who shares her two children from a first marriage.
