Sat.1 never tires of reviving old TV classics. Of course, “Jeopardy!” not missing. The quiz is scheduled to start again in early 2023. It is already clear who will moderate the whole thing. Ruth Moschner (46) will lead through the Prime Time new edition, as the broadcaster has announced.

“Jeopardy!” is part of the cult show weeks in Sat.1, which are scheduled to start in early 2023. In addition to the quiz format, “The Pyramid” and “Dating Game – Who should be your sweetheart?” return. The recordings for “Jeopardy!” will take place in Cologne from December 8th.

In the US, “Jeopardy!” first successes in the 1960s. In 1990 it finally came to Germany and ran there on the private broadcaster RTL. From 1994 to 1998, TV legend Frank Elstner (80) moderated the show. The joke of the format: The candidates do not have to answer any questions, but give the questions to the given answers.

As early as October, Sat.1 announced that it would revive legendary show classics. “In a four-week event programming” the shows are to be shown “in slightly modernized prime-time editions”, explained Sat.1 boss Daniel Rosemann (42) at the time.

“The Pyramid” was broadcast for the first time in 1979 with Dieter Thomas Heck (1937-2018) as moderator, and it was finally over in 1994. From December 2nd, the new edition will be shot in Cologne. Jörg Pilawa (57) appears as moderator. The guessing teams each consist of a candidate and a celebrity. Your task is to “describe and guess terms, dictums or proverbs in the shortest possible time,” according to the production company’s website.

At “Dating Games – Who should be your sweetheart?” it is obviously a new edition of the original German dating show “Herzblatt”, which was shown on the first between 1987 and 2005. Three candidates try to convince a single person on the other side of a wall. Here, too, Jörg Pilawa takes the helm for Sat.1. From December 16th, the dating format will be shot in Cologne.
