YouTube has published the charts of the most popular videos and creators in Germany in 2022. The most successful clip comes from Fritz Meinecke (33), who was able to achieve the highest reach with his survival show “7 vs. Wild”. The episode “Panama – Tödliches Paradies” is the top trending video from Germany with more than eleven million clicks – although it has not even been online for a month.
The live stream of the boxing match by YouTube creator Standart Skill and Leon Machère (30), which was viewed by seven million viewers, came in second. Third place went to Julien Bam (34) and “The Last SONG FROM THE BEAN (Act 1)”. The Super Bowl Halftime Show with Dr. Dre (57), Snoop Dogg (51), Eminem (50), Mary J. Blige (51), Kendrick Lamar (35) and 50 Cent (47) secured fourth place. The contribution of the Jan Böhmermann show “ZDF Magazin Royale”, which caused a stir this year for Fynn Kliemann (34), ended up in fifth place.
YouTube star Rezo (30) was also able to score again, this time with his video about “Germany’s next top model”, which made it to seventh place. Political content was also successful this year: “Welt Newsstream”‘s “lightning offensive against Ukraine” took eighth place, and viewers found out about the Ukraine conflict with a video from MrWissen2Go in tenth place.
YouTube also lists the most successful music videos in Germany in its charts. The ranking is led by Luciano’s (28) “Beautiful Girl”, followed by Twenty4Tim (22) with “Bling Bling” and Rammstein’s “Big Tits”. The latter are represented three times on the list: “Zeit” also took seventh place and “Zick Zack” took tenth place. Excitement song “Layla” by DJ Robin
Moderator Leeroy Matata (25) can now call himself the most successful creator in 2022 – with 2.4 million subscribers.
