Ronnie Turner, son of rock icon Tina Turner (83), died in California. “Ronnie, you left the world far too soon. In sorrow, I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son,” wrote Tina Turner on Instagram on Friday.
His wife, singer Afida Turner, wrote on Instagram that she had lost her husband and “best friend”. Ronnie Turner, from the marriage of Tina and Ike Turner, was 62 years old. Neither Tina Turner nor Afida Turner, who was born in France, gave any information about the cause of death.
Los Angeles police said people.com said officers had been called to Turner’s address in Encino, north of Los Angeles, following a death. “TMZ.com” reported an emergency call for respiratory problems. Tina Turner’s team of speakers did not initially respond to a request from the German Press Agency.

Ike Turner had two other sons from a previous relationship who were adopted by Tina Turner.
