Jennifer Lopez (54) and Ben Affleck (51) are spending their second Christmas as a married couple this year. And it seems that the singer and the actor have already gotten into the mood for the party. As “People” reported, they invited celebrity friends such as actors Margot Robbie (33), Michael B. Jordan (36) and Lily Rabe (41) to a Christmas party at their home in Beverly Hills on the third weekend of Advent.
“They had a really fun party,” an insider told US celebrity magazine. The VIP group sang Christmas carols and danced together until late into the night on Saturday. The house was “beautifully decorated in Christmas decorations” for the celebration, with a huge Christmas tree at the entrance. It continued: “The children were all there dancing and having a great time, especially the twins and Violet.” Lopez has children Emme and Max (15) from her marriage to Marc Anthony (55). Violet (18) is Affleck’s eldest daughter with Jennifer Garner (51). The ex-couple has two other children.
According to the report, Affleck’s brother Casey Affleck (48) and Lopez’s long-time manager Benny Medina (65) were also invited to the party. The hostess is said to have dressed up for the occasion. At the beginning she wore a long, festive red dress, later a blue sequin dress.
The singer had already shown herself in the Christmas spirit on her Instagram account last week. She posted a photo of herself posing in front of a large tree decorated with gold baubles and pine cones. Matching the color scheme of her Christmas tree, Lopez wore a high-waisted skirt with gold embroidery, paired with a gold bracelet, embellished belt and sparkly gold platform heels.
After the holidays, the singer will hit the ground running again: her single “Can’t Get Enough” will be released in January. It is the first release from their upcoming album “This Is Me… Now”, which will be released on February 16th. Lopez has already released snippets of the song on social media, along with a teaser clip of the short film for her new album. Her husband is a co-writer of the film. The singer described the collaboration as “amazing”. “I mean, nobody knows me or my story better than him,” she told Access Hollywood. “He knew me then and he knows me now – that’s who I am now.” Her ninth studio album is a sequel to “This Is Me… Then” from 2002. At that time, Lopez was inspired by her beginning love story with Affleck. The couple were together and even engaged from 2002 to 2004, but then separated. They got back together again in spring 2021 and tied the knot in July 2022.
