The German team won the silver medal at the world championship premiere of the mixed competition in Nordic combined.
Vinzenz Geiger, Jenny Nowak, Nathalie Armbruster and Julian Schmid only had to admit defeat to the outstanding quartet from Norway in Planica, Slovenia. Bronze was secured after ski jumping on the normal hill and the decisive cross-country race in Austria.
Already a successful World Cup
For the German Nordic combined it was the third second place in the third competition of these title fights. You have already collected more medals after the first week of the World Championships than at the entire home World Championships in Oberstdorf two years ago. Schmid had already won silver in the individual on the normal hill. All three previous titles went to Norway for the outstanding Jarl Magnus Riiber and Gyda Westvold Hansen.
