In the ZDF show “Let yourself be monitored!” Jan Böhmermann and his team turn studio viewers into involuntary stars of the show again. This was announced by the Mainz broadcaster on Friday.
According to ZDF, it is “the only show on German television that is only created from the personal information and Internet activities of unsuspecting studio viewers”. And for the first time it will be broadcast at prime time: on September 20, a Wednesday, at 8:15 p.m.
“Be it Instagram accounts, deleted Tiktok clips, anonymous blog entries or long-forgotten Internet youthful sins: the “Let yourself be monitored” editors will find everything on the web,” announced the makers. “Before the recording, the Let yourself be monitored!” team screened the internet activity and profiles of all studio viewers.” Draus should be a “colourful, funny, surprising and shocking show with crazy games, crazy promotions and great prizes”.
Böhmermann (42) warned: “Be careful what you do on the Internet! Because we see everything – and are absolutely unscrupulous in realizing our insidious plan to produce the craziest entertainment show on German television.” The audience can also look forward to music, guest stars, celebrities and surprises.
