Yvonne Catterfeld (44) will release her new single “Move” on May 10th. The singer wants to start “a new musical beginning,” according to a statement about the song. Together with the producer team Truva, with whom she had already written the last album, she has been working on a new pop sound over the last few months “that moves between soul and dance – with a lot of positive atmosphere and good mood.”
Catterfeld explained about her new single: “The idea for ‘Move’ came from frustration at how many of the things I set out to do end up not being done, whether through distraction, poor time management, fear or comfort, and the realization that it “It’s always just the first step.” The singer added: “Put on the jacket and you’re outside, get out of your pajamas and straight into your sports clothes, dial the phone number, take the first step on the trampoline, express a need, turn on the music loudly. And you’re in one different mood and energy. Don’t wait for tomorrow and don’t put it off from one day to the next, just do it.”
According to the announcement, Yvonne Catterfeld wrote and sang her new songs in English, as she did on her last album “Change”. After the single “Move” and the accompanying music video, more songs are expected over the course of the year, it is said. A new album and a tour are already being planned for spring 2025.
Yvonne Catterfeld has been in show business for over 20 years, and the singer and actress made her breakthrough in the early 2000s. She has appeared in the television series “Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten” and “Sophie – Braut wider Willen” and as a coach on “The Voice of Germany”. As a singer, Yvonne Catterfeld, who has had a son with her ex-partner Oliver Wnuk (48) since 2014, has already released eight studio albums.
