King Charles III was allowed to blow out 75 candles on his royal birthday cake this Tuesday (November 14th). The first congratulations from his royal family have already arrived on social networks. His son Prince William (41) and his wife Princess Kate (41) published a three-part photo series in honor of the birthday child on their shared Instagram account.
In the first picture, Charles and William are sitting on a wooden bench in the snow in ski gear and in a good mood, with one arm on each other’s shoulders. The fact that the picture has been around for several years can be seen not least in William’s full head of hair. The Prince and Princess of Wales wrote: “We wish His Majesty the King a wonderful 75th birthday.” This is followed by a current picture of the monarch and one in which William and Kate and their three children George (10), Charlotte (8) and Louis (5) as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla (76) greet the camera together.
A little earlier, Sarah Ferguson (64), the ex-wife of Charles’ brother Prince Andrew (63), contacted the king via Instagram. She published a black and white picture of Charles III. and wrote: “I wish His Majesty King Charles III the happiest of birthdays. Long live the King.”
A day earlier, King Charles III. already celebrated with several guests and a three-tier cake at a small tea party at the Highgrove House country estate in Gloucestershire. According to the British BBC, the chef Raymond Blanc (73), the singer Leee John (66) and presenter Jay Blades (53) accepted the invitation.
Charles apparently doesn’t want to celebrate too much on his special day. According to British media reports, he wanted to spend his birthday with his loved ones in London’s Clarence House – with family and close friends. His second son, Prince Harry (39), will probably not be there.
