During the break, Mr. Goecke blocked my way on the long, narrow path into the foyer. I could tell from the way he stood in front of me how angry he was. I immediately assumed that it must be about my text, which appeared in the “FAZ” that day, a slander about his ballet “In The Dutch Mountains”. But I stayed calm, thinking: “Okay, then I’ll just talk to him about it.” He said: “Wiebke, what do you even want here?” And I thought to myself: “Huh, since when are we on first-name terms?”
