For the first time in the history of “Who’s stealing the show?” “Normalo” was allowed to try as a moderator on Sunday evening: Wildcard winner Helena confidently led the show and did her job, many viewers agreed, really well. At the end of the hitherto unique edition, in addition to praise for Helena, there was a triumph for Joko Winterscheidt (44), renewed disgrace for Bill Kaulitz (33) and even a world record for rapper Sido (42) on the credit side.
For Kaulitz, his trauma from the premiere episode of the fifth season was repeated. As in the previous week, the Tokio Hotel singer was the first to get this from the round of candidates, which this time was completely prominent. “That’s it now. I won’t come anymore,” Kaulitz threatened shortly before his departure.
Sido, on the other hand, was very happy: although he again just missed the final, he can now call himself the official Guinness world record holder. His historic achievement: stacking seven donuts on top of each other. In fact, no one has ever managed to do that, confirmed an official of the Guinness Book of World Records, so Sido could hardly believe his luck: “Will you write that in the book too? Awesome!” The award is proudly enthroned on his Wikipedia page – directly under his MTV Europe Music Award from 2010.
Since actress Jasna Fritzi Bauer (34) was the second candidate, the finale of the second edition was again called Joko versus Helena – albeit this time with the opposite sign. Despite difficult conditions, Winterscheidt was able to work out a lead that he trembled to the finish: “A thousand tons are falling off my shoulders,” the presenter rejoices when he has successfully fought back his show.
It means saying goodbye to Helena on TV, and in the upcoming edition on March 5 (8:15 p.m., ProSieben), a new wildcard participant will have the chance to follow in her footsteps.
