“I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” is history, but the trash year has only just begun. After the jungle camp, reality TV and casting show fans will get their money’s worth in the coming weeks.

The 20th and last season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (RTL) has been broadcast since January 14, 2023. “DSDS” is currently in the middle of the casting phase and is already making some headlines. New episodes can be seen on TV every Wednesday and Saturday. In addition to pop titan and returnee Dieter Bohlen (68), singer Pietro Lombardi (30), singer Leony (25) and rapper Katja Krasavice (26) are on the jury.

Trash fans can look forward to another season of “Prominent Separated – The Villa of the Exiles”. RTL will show the new episodes from February 21 via its in-house streaming service RTL and from March 4 on TV. The reality format takes viewers to South Africa, where eight prominent ex-couples are fighting for prize money of EUR 100,000. In doing so, they not only face the competition, but also their common past. Among others, Silva Gonzalez (43) and Stefanie Schanze (34) from the band Hot Banditoz as well as tattoo model Kate Merlan (35) and professional soccer player Jakub Merlan-Jarecki (27) are moving into the house.

The RTL dome format “The Bachelor” has been part of the standard program for many trash TV lovers for years. The show will be in its 13th round in 2023. From March 1 (8:15 p.m. on RTL, on RTL from February 22), model and content creator David Jackson (32) will be looking for his dream woman. He inherits Dominik Stuckmann (31) as Rosenkavalier.

In a few weeks there will also be a reunion with Heidi Klum (49). The model mom again welcomes numerous candidates hoping to become “Germany’s next top model”. The first episode of the now 18th season will be broadcast on February 16 at ProSieben prime time. The other episodes will then also be shown on the channel every Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ProSieben had already announced in November that the young models were going to Los Angeles. There they should run their first fashion show. In May 2022, Lou-Anne Gleißenebner-Teskey (19) prevailed against her competitors and snagged the title in season 17.

The fourth season of “Kampf der Realitystars” will start on RTLzwei in spring. Among others, ex-“Bachelor” Paul Janke (41), DJane Giulia Siegel (48) and the former “Germany’s next top model” candidate Sarah Knappik (36) are among the celebrities who competed for the title “Realitystar 2023” argue. To do this, they must pass various action and skill games. Cathy Hummels (35) will moderate the format again.

Streaming provider Netflix will be showing its latest dating format “Perfect Match” from February 14th, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Only candidates who have been on other Netflix shows take part. The faces from “Love is Blind”, “Too Hot To Handle”, “The Circle” or “The Ultimatum”, which meet in a “tropical paradise”, may seem familiar to some. Jessica Simpson’s (42) ex-husband Nick Lachey (49) hosts.

The show allows particularly “compatible couples” to break up other couples and then play matchmaking to send them “on dates with brand new singles who invite them over to the mansion,” as Netflix describes it. The first season will consist of 12 episodes, each of which is about an hour long, according to Variety. In three blocks, each with four episodes, these will then be published on February 14th, 21st and 28th.
