Til Schweiger (59) has landed a new role in the Hollywood dream factory. The German actor will appear in the war film “The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare” by “Sherlock Holmes” director Guy Ritchie (54) and “Top Gun: Maverick” producer Jerry Bruckheimer (79). This is reported by the industry portal “Deadline”.

It is not yet known what role Schweiger will play. What is certain, however, is that he will be seen alongside Hollywood stars such as Henry Cavill (39) and Eiza González (33). Also on board are Alan Ritchson (40), Henry Golding (35), Henry Zaga (29), Alex Pettyfer (32), Cary Elwes (60), Hero Fiennes Tiffin (25) and Babs Olusanmokun (38). The screenplay by Paul Tamasy (58), Eric Johnson (43), Arash Amel (47) and Ritchie is based on the bestseller of the same name by war correspondent and military historian Damien Lewis.

The star-studded new film follows a real-life British intelligence unit fighting the Nazis behind enemy lines during World War II. It was founded by Prime Minister Winston Churchill (1874-1965). The secret squad’s unconventional fighting techniques against the Nazis helped change the course of the war. Cavill will embody the leader of the secret combat unit, while co-star González will play an extraordinary agent and sniper, as “Deadline” reported in October 2022. Filming is scheduled to begin in Turkey in February. It is not yet known when the film will be released.

For Til Schweiger it is not the first Hollywood film. He was seen in Quentin Tarantino’s (59) “Inglourious Basterds” (2009), “The Three Musketeers” (2011) or “Atomic Blonde” (2017).
