Next Saturday, April 20th, “Tatort” star Wotan Wilke Möhring (56) will be on the “The Masked Singer” advice team alongside Palina Rojinski (38) and Rick Kavanian (53) from 8:15 p.m. The broadcaster ProSieben announced this on Thursday afternoon. In the first two editions, the singer Max Giesinger (35) and the presenter Linda Zervakis (48) were present as guests and puzzled over which celebrity was hiding under the elaborate masks and disguises. The broadcaster posted a picture of the new addition on Instagram and wrote: “With Wotan Wilke Möhring, the advice team has a real commissioner at its side!”
Of course, the inspector isn’t all that real, but with the saying ProSieben is alluding to the actor’s many years of work as an NDR “Tatort” star. Since 2013, he has been playing the police officer Thorsten Falke in the popular crime series, who has now been involved in 19 films while drinking milk. He regularly solves cases in Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein – originally for the LKA Hamburg, now even as a federal police officer for the BKA.
Wotan Wilke Möhring has not yet been part of the large “The Masked Singer” universe in the previous nine seasons, neither as a member of the advice team nor as a celebrity under one of the masks. In the currently running tenth season, presenter legend Hugo Egon Balder (74) as a couch potato and in episode two acting icon Uschi Glas (80) as Tapsi, the baby lion, had to get rid of their masks.
The mystery was newly introduced: a celebrity who only takes part once and is always unmasked at the end of the show. The opera singer Rolando Villazón (52) and entertainer Giovanni Zarrella (46) were exposed here. The third episode of the tenth season will air next Saturday, April 20th, from 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben. As usual, the edition will be moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel (53).
