Governor of Xinjiang province condemns the UNITED states’interference in China’s treatment of muslim minorities.

A chinese official says that people who have been imprisoned in re-education camps in China’s Xinjiang region “have taken their exams”, and that future students will have the freedom to come and go in the camps.

the Governor Shohrat Zakir langer also out after western criticism of the camps, and he says that the USA is conducting a smear campaign against Xinjiang.

the united nations and human rights groups estimate that between one and two million people – predominantly ethnic uigur muslims – have been detained in extreme conditions as part of a campaign.

China’s communist party denies that uighurs are being abused and oppressed. According to the communist party becomes the subject of a “counter-terrorism provisions-campaign.”

– For the moment, the persons that are being taught in the camps, all taken examinations, says the governor, who on Monday held a press conference in Beijing on the camps.

– By the government’s help, they have got a stable work and their quality of life is improved, he says, and adds, that their training will continue out from the training based on the “independent determination” and “freedom to come and go”.

China has not published official figures for how many people there are in the camps.

Experts from the UN and activists accuse China of detaining up to a million uighurs in camps in Xinjiang province.

China has repeatedly rejected accusations of mistreatment of uighurs. China claims that the camps are a part of country’s efforts against terrorism and efforts to offer vocational training.

last week adopted a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives a bill requiring that the UNITED states is equivalent harder again on China’s treatment of its muslim minority, the uighurs.

Although there are several steps before the proposal could result in an actual law, the u.s. actions increased tensions between the UNITED states and China.

the Camps in Xinjiang have been established over the past three years. According to the chinese regime must counteract religious extremism and terrorist activity.
