When the Fantastischen Vier performed as part of the Lollapalooza Festival on Sunday evening (September 25) on the grounds of the Berlin Olympic Stadium, the injured rapper Smudo (54) was with his bandmates on the Main Stage South.

Until then, the fans had jittered whether the musician, who tore his tendon when he fell on stage at the end of August, would perform. Shortly before the performance, the media had already given the all-clear, but still reported that Smudo could be on stage, but only sit. In the photos from the performance, however, he can be seen standing up – with large grey-black greaves.

A day after his stage accident on August 26th, Smudo contacted his fans personally. He revealed via Instagram what exactly happened and how he was doing in the meantime. “There are worse places to jump through the patellar tendon than at the end of the tour on stage. Thank you all for the touching recovery wishes,” wrote Fanta-4 rapper Smudo under a photo of the performance.

He also apologized for the postponement of the planned concert in Osnabrück and explained his state of health: “OP this morning went 1a. Mood is good. 6 weeks track”.
