Sat.1 is bringing “The Comedy Fairytale Hour” (December 12 and 19, 8:15 p.m., Sat.1 and Joyn) back to the screen. With “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Tischlein deck dich” fans can look forward to two humorous reinterpretations. Last year, an average of more than five million viewers saw the alternative versions of “Cinderella” and “Hansel and Gretel”.
In a new interpretation of “Little Red Riding Hood”, Evelyn Burdecki (34) now plays the eponymous main character. Christine Ursprechen (52) appears as the grandmother, Jeanette Biedermann (42) as the mother. Tom Gerhardt (64) plays the wolf, Eisi Gulp (67) the Jägermeister Wipfelmoser. Martin Klempnow (49) can also be seen as Hans im Glück and Bruce Darnell (65) as the father. Uwe Ochsenknecht (66) will again act as “theater director” and narrator and will repeatedly incorporate improvisational elements into the well-known plots of the fairy tale. Wigald Boning (55) and Volker “Zack” Michalowski (51) provide the musical accompaniment as “bards”.
Sat.1 describes the new “Little Red Riding Hood” as follows: “This Little Red Riding Hood has a lot of pepper and is anything but easy to swallow. On the way to her grandmother, she gives the wolf a good opinion, which seems unimpressed. Twisted with greater success Luckily, Little Red Riding Hood gives Hans a good head – her rescue. When she meets the hungry carnivore for the second time, luck is not on her side. But there is an unexpected reunion with her father, who has been missing for 16 years. No joke.”
For the second reinterpretation “Tischlein deck dich” the broadcaster has not yet given any information about the cast. However, there is a small synopsis: “A cunning goat. The wily landlady Cordula from the ‘Grün’ inn. The gullible tailor and his two sons Hans and Franz. Her bright sister Johanna with a ‘stick in a sack’. A ‘table set you ‘One-off from the sustainability edition. A ‘cash donkey’ that doesn’t give out the password. And of course a ha-ha-ppy ending with a wedding. Clear case of ‘The Comedy Fairytale Hour'”.
