Eight celebrities want to put their baking skills to the test at “Das Große Promibacken” in 2023. The seventh season of the popular celebrity cake show starts on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 (8:15 p.m. on Sat.1 and on Joyn). Which stars are there this time?
The actor Kai Schumann (46), colleague Gerit Kling (57), the moderators Caroline Beil (56) and Jochen Schropp (44), singer and TV star Joey Heindle (29), the former athlete Sabrina Mockenhaupt-Gregor (42) and Philipp Boy (35) as well as author and comedienne Nicole Jäger (40) are baking around 10,000 euros for a good cause.
For the first time in the show, actor Kai Schumann will be the celebrity to exclusively make vegan creations. “I see the show as a unique opportunity to introduce a larger group of people to the benefits of vegan life,” explains the actor in advance. “I’m going to show that vegan tastes damn good.”
The season consists of six episodes in total. Each “Celebrity Baking” episode consists of three baking challenges. This time, this includes baking a Hungarian Dobo cake, eerily beautiful 3D and motif cakes with scary effects, sophisticated interpretations of banana bread or Red Velvet variations (red dough with white cream).
Who has to leave the show at the end of each episode is decided by the well-known jury consisting of motif cake queen Bettina Schliephake-Burchardt (51) and Christian Hümbs (41), multiple pastry chef of the year, after the award of points (the celebrities can have a maximum of 20 points per task reach). The show will once again be moderated by Enie van de Meiklokjes (48).
