Fans of the dome show “The Bachelor” had to wait a little longer this year. While the previous seasons always started in January, the new Rosenkavalier David Jackson (32) is going on a love search this year from March 1 at 8:15 p.m. on RTL (or via RTL). His predecessor Dominik Stuckmann (31) proved in 2022 that this search can be successful. He has been with winner Anna Rossow (34) for over a year.
If love doesn’t work out for Jackson as “Bachelor”, he could still find it within the show universe. Some former participants only found each other after “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette”.
Couples who emerge together from the finale of “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” are often smiled at. Because many relationships survived in the history of the show not long after shooting ended. In recent seasons, however, some couples have also proven the opposite. Current proof of the success of the show are last year’s “Bachelor” Dominik Stuckmann and Anna Rossow. They’ve moved in together now.
In the case of the female counterpart “The Bachelorette”, Anna Hofbauer (34), the bachelor from 2014, and her chosen one, Marvin Albrecht (34), have long been considered an absolute dream couple. The relationship broke up after three years together. The “Bachelorette” from 2022 Sharon Battiste (31) and winner Jan Hoffmann (31) are still in love. Since the finale, the couple has been happy with each other and also regularly shares this happiness on social media.
“Bachelor” Niko Griesert (32) also found love on the show – but previously drew attention to himself with his indecisiveness. During the season he was torn between Mimi Gwozdz (27) and Michèle de Roos (28). Although he decided in favor of Mimi in the final, he met Michèle a short time later. The couple had been happily together for over a year before separating in the summer of 2022. They are still good friends – a love comeback is not out of the question.
Johannes (35) and Jessica Haller, formerly Paszka (32), also prove that the last rose does not have to be decisive for a happy ending. In 2017, the then “Bachelorette” decided in the final against Haller and for his competitor David Friedrich (33). The relationship only lasted a few months. Haller, on the other hand, found ex-“Bachelor” candidate Yeliz Koc (29) through “Bachelor in Paradise” a year after the show. They had an on-off relationship until early 2020. In the summer of the same year, Paszka and Haller became close again. They are now married and have a daughter together.
“Bachelor” Sebastian Pannek (36) gave his last rose to Clea-Lacy Juhn (31) in 2017, her love broke up after about a year and a half. But Pannek has now found happiness with another lady from the “Bachelor” universe. In 2020 he married Angelina Pannek (31), former gamekeeper. She was in the final with Christian Tews (42) in 2014, but went away empty-handed. In 2016 she was briefly in a relationship with Leonard Freier (38), “The Bachelor” 2016. It has now worked out with the third Rosenkavalier. The Panneks became parents to a son and a young daughter in summer 2020 and autumn 2022.
Nik Schröder (33), third place winner of the “Bachelorette” season 2017, had a similar experience. Since 2018, the woman at his side has been Jessi Cooper (28), known from the “Bachelor” season with Daniel Völz (37). Schröder and Cooper married in September 2019 and are now parents of a daughter together.
Only recently did an ex-“Bachelorette” winner and an ex-“Bachelorette” come together. There were sparks between Leander Sacher (25) and Maxime Herbord (27). Sacher had conquered the heart of Herbord’s predecessor Melissa Damilia (27) in 2020. In January 2022, the couple announced their separation. Maxime Herbord left the show in 2021 as “Bachelorette” without a relationship. In December 2022, she then confirmed her love for Sacher on Instagram.
Anyone who is still single after participating in “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” does not need to despair. RTL has been offering ex-candidates a second chance on “Bachelor in Paradise” since 2018. And sometimes with great success.
Marco Cerullo (34), for example, wanted to conquer Jessica Paszka’s heart in 2017, but finally found his dream woman in the offshoot show in 2019. He fell in love with Christina Grass (33), who competed for the roses of Andrej Mangold (36) in 2019. The couple got engaged in early 2020, announced their separation in the same year and then surprised with a love comeback in mid-January 2021.
For Serkan Yavuz (29), the rule “All good things come in threes” probably applied. In 2019 he first vied for the favor of “Bachelorette” Gerda Lewis (30), but failed. In the same year he met and loved Carina Spack (26) on “Bachelor in Paradise”. The relationship lasted until autumn 2020. In 2021 the Regensburger tried it a second time in paradise and met Samira Klampfl (29) there. There were sparks between Yavuz and Klampfl and they left the show as a couple. That’s not all: they have now moved in together and are parents of the first “Bachelor in Paradise” baby.
The “Bachelor in Paradise” season from 2022 resulted in three couples who are still happy together today: Jana-Maria Herz (30) and Umut Tekin (25), Michi Bauer (31) and Lara Honner (24 ) as well as Yannick Syperek (28) and Mimi Gwozdz.
