Large array of stars at Florian Silbereisen (41). MDR has announced the guests who will appear on December 2nd from 8:15 p.m. at the “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” on the first channel. This is the crème de la crème of German hits. Veterans like Roland Kaiser (70), Vicky Leandros (70) and Andy Borg (62) do the honors, as do Ella Endlich (38), Maite Kelly (42) and Melissa Naschenweng (32).

Also on stage are DJ Ötzi (51), Matthias Reim (65), Semino Rossi (60), Thomas Anders (59), the Kelly Family and VoXXclub. In addition to the musicians, the magician duo Ehrlich Brothers and cabaret artist Dieter Hallervorden (87) take care of the laughing muscles of the audience.

Lucas Cordalis (55) is not named. But the singer also seems to be there. The pop singer and husband of Daniela Katzenberger (36) posted a picture on Instagram in which he refueled a car. “On the way to Suhl to Florian Silbereisen” wrote Cordalis to the photo. “The Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” is traditionally recorded in Suhl, Thuringia. Katzenberger also showed a series of photos of the magical studio setting in her stories over the weekend.

Since 2004 (with interruptions in 2006 and 2008), Florian Silbereisen has been inviting people to the pre-Christmas hit festival on ARD. Normally, the show on the Saturday before the first Advent heralds the waiting for the Christ child. But because of the World Cup in Qatar, “The Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” was postponed to December 2nd, i.e. the Friday before the second Sunday in Advent.

Also in 2022 the arrival of the light of peace from the grotto of Jesus’ birth will be a highlight of the show. In the show, the light is spread until the eponymous 100,000 lights are reached. The Peace Light has been part of the format since 2009. In 2011, the show previously known as “The Advent Festival of Folk Music” therefore changed its name to “The Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights”.
