Taylor Swift (32) has made an absolute dream start with “Midnights”. With her new album, she also set a record that can be described as historic. So far, no artist had managed to occupy the entire top ten of the “Billboard Hot 100” charts in one week at the same time. Songs by the singer are currently in all ranks.
According to the music magazine “Billboard”, Canadian rapper Drake (36) previously held the record. In September 2021 he managed to occupy nine out of ten places with his songs. The current list tops Swift’s song “Anti-Hero.” “Lavender Haze”, “Maroon”, “Snow On The Beach”, “Midnight Rain”, “Bejeweled”, “Question…?”, “You’re On Your Own, Kid”, “Karma” and “Vigilante Shit”.
Previously, Swift had set a new Spotify record, among other things. Never before had an album been streamed so frequently on the music streaming service in just one day. Apparently, the 32-year-old can hardly believe that “Midnights” is so successful. On Twitter she asks: “Ten out of ten in the Hot 100??? With my tenth album???”
In the meantime, Swift has recently reached a personal best in the German charts. For the first time, she climbed to the top of the official German charts, determined by GfK Entertainment, with an album. It is also the best start of a solo artist in the current year and the most streamed album in Germany in the release week in 2022.
