Generous superstar: Singer Taylor Swift (33) is said to have paid the staff of her tour bonuses totaling 55 million US dollars (around 50.1 million euros). As the US magazine “People” reports, caterers, truck drivers, dancers, technicians and other participants in the “The Eras” tour received a special payment.

In the report, “People” cites sources that confirmed the premiums totaled $55 million. The US celebrity portal “TMZ” had previously reported that Swift gave the tour drivers $ 100,000 (almost 91,000 euros) before their stop in Santa Clara. The singer and her crew are said to have transported around 50 drivers through the USA in the past few months. Thus, the 33-year-old paid around five million US dollars (about 4.5 million euros) to the drivers alone.

The multiple Grammy winner started her current tour in March in Glendale (Arizona). Many celebrities also attended her concerts, including Drew Barrymore (48), Reese Witherspoon (47) and Gigi Hadid (28). In June, Swift announced that she would also be appearing on stage in Europe, Asia and Australia next year.

In July, the superstar made a name for herself with several records: The singer is the first woman in music history to place four albums in the top ten of the US album charts at the same time. Her newly recorded album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) debuted at number one on the US album charts, according to Billboard. The musician not only managed the best start of an album of the current year, but also surpassed the record set by Barbra Streisand (81), who is one of the world’s most successful singers with over 145 million records sold. Speak Now is Swift’s twelfth number one album. Streisand holds the record for all female artists with eleven number one albums.
