In the new Viennese “Tatort: What is that for a world” (February 26, the first) Moritz Eisner (Harald Krassnitzer, 62) and Bibi Fellner (Adele Neuhauser, 64) go together with assistant Meret Schande (Christina Scherrer, 35) on the hunt for criminals. A successful IT employee is stabbed and the three investigators must shed light on the confused case.
Above all, shame is the focus of this crime thriller. The young policewoman visits a concert with her friend – and accidentally meets a witness. The performing band plays an important musical role in “Tatort”. But what is the name of the Austrian group?
The Viennese band is Kreisky. Her song “Kilometerweit Weizen” (2021) can be heard both at the concert and during the big showdown. The indie rock band was founded in 2005 by Franz Adrian Wenzl (46), stage name Austrofred, and Martin Offenhuber. Today Helmuth “Lelo” Brossmann and Klaus Mitter are also part of it. The musicians made a name for themselves, especially in Vienna and the surrounding area. The group is named after the former Austrian Chancellor Bruno Kreisky (1911-1990). In 2021 her last album “Atlantis” was released.
The main actors Harald Krassnitzer and Adele Neuhauser knew the group before shooting. Krassnitzer knows Kreisky “mainly from the radio”. It is a successful Austrian band. “I like their lyrics and music and of course I stream them. I was really happy that they were with us.”
According to Neuhauser, the band “hits the musical nerve of the time”. She also knew them beforehand, “but I haven’t seen any of their concerts yet.” One thing still bothers the actress: “I was also a bit sad that I couldn’t be there on the day of shooting when the band performed live.”
