Supermodel Claudia Schiffer beamed with joy on Instagram with her own Barbie doll.

“I’m pleased to announce one of the first original supermodel Barbie dolls of the 90s,” wrote the 53-year-old alongside the photos, in which she can be seen with the doll in a large bed. The doll should therefore wear her favorite catwalk look from the Italian fashion house Versace.

According to the manufacturer Mattel, Schiffer wore the dress at a fashion show in 1994. The doll was no longer available on the website. According to a report on the celebrity portal “People”, it is said to be the fourth Schiffer Barbie that has been dedicated to the model – but the first that is available to buy.

Claudia Schiffer’s meteoric rise began in 1987. The German model reminded many French people of Brigitte Bardot. As Karl Lagerfeld’s muse, she became the highest-paid model in the world. With her colleagues Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford, she not only became rich and famous, but also shaped an era.
