Tekin Girgin is not actually an Uber driver. But he has had a lot more time than usual for about three months: since the productions for the larger studios and streaming platforms in Hollywood have been on hold due to the strikes by scriptwriters and Hollywood actors, the 42-year-old director and scriptwriter is one of many Filmmakers looking for alternative jobs. So he occasionally drives people around Los Angeles in the Uber, at the moment once a day – when he finds the time.
