Even before the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” is broadcast next year, there is good news from the universe of the most successful English-language Netflix series: The streaming service has now announced that there will be an animated series. The “Stranger Things” makers Matt (39) and Ross Duffer (38) are back on board as producers.

As “The Hollywood Reporter” reports, the series will appear in the classic cartoon style. “We always dreamed of an animated ‘Stranger Things’ in the style of the Saturday morning cartoons we grew up with and to see that dream come true has been absolutely exciting,” the Duffer brothers are quoted as saying.
