Sophia Thomalla (33) has been in a relationship with the currently best German tennis player Alexander Zverev (25) since the end of 2021. The new documentary “Zverev – The Unfinished” (from March 19 on RTL) now offers an interesting insight into getting to know and the everyday relationship of the dazzling celebrity couple.
The two met through mutual friends, as the ATP professional reveals in the documentary. Then, according to Thomalla, everything happened “very quickly”. “Sometimes you talk to each other and think: ‘Yeah, something can happen’. And then it suddenly happens,” said the 33-year-old literally.
So far, love has endured despite all differences. Because Thomalla describes her own everyday life in “Zverev – The Unfinished” as “anything but continuous”, while tennis pro Zverev could only achieve success through discipline and hard training. “There are two particularly blatant life models that meet,” the actress sums up, so the two would enjoy “the simplest things together”, “as stupid as it sounds”.
Completely new sides of the tennis professional, who is considered to be closed, also appear in “Zverev – The Unfinished”. “He’s definitely very, very emotionally private,” reveals partner Thomalla, adding: “I don’t need a provider, I need someone I can call 24 hours a day and throw up, and he can do that very well”.
