A true star ensemble gathered in France last weekend at the dream wedding of Lionel Richie’s (73) daughter Sofia (24) with music producer Elliot Grainge (30). One person was looked for in vain on the wedding ceremony recordings: Sofia Richie’s brother Miles Brockman Richie (28). It has sometimes been speculated that a family dispute could have caused the important person in the model’s life to be absent. But the US site “TMZ” now wants to know the actual, much more pragmatic reason for Miles’ abstinence.
Accordingly, the 28-year-old did not feel well shortly before the wedding and then took a corona test – which was positive. A spokesman for the two siblings has now revealed this to “TMZ” and emphasized how much Sofia would have liked her older brother to be with her on this important occasion.
Pictures from the ceremony, which were published by the US site “Page Six”, among other things, showed the well-known guests and, above all, the radiant bride in her tailor-made Chanel wedding dress. A special moment last Saturday was also captured: the bride being led down a flight of stairs and in front of the altar by her father.
Those attending included Sofia’s adoptive sister Nicole Richie (41) and her husband Joel Madden (44), Cameron Diaz (50), who is married to Madden’s twin brother Benji Madden (44), and heiress Paris Hilton (42) and hers Husband Carter Reum (42).
Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge made their love official in April 2021, a year later the founder of the record label 10K Projects asked for her hand. Earlier this month, Richie announced that she had converted to Judaism and thus to her current spouse’s religion shortly before the wedding.
