Sofia Richie (25) is making her famous father Lionel Richie (74) a grandfather again: the model is pregnant. She and her husband Elliot Grainge (30) are expecting their first child together. Sofia Richie announced her pregnancy on Instagram with a black and white photo. The expectant mother can be seen with a clearly visible baby bump and next to her husband. “And then there were three,” she writes about the photo.
In addition to the private post, the model completed a photo shoot with a baby ball together with the US “Vogue”. The photos are now also online. In the pictures, Richie skillfully showcases her exposed baby bump. In an interview with “Vogue” she also revealed the gender of her first child: it will be a girl.
“We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a real shock. However, my lifelong dream is to have a daughter and Elliot is really excited about a girl too,” said the model. “I think it’s so typical for men to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive,” she gushes about her husband.
Richie kept her pregnancy a secret until the end. Now she’s looking forward to showcasing her baby bump with appropriate clothing instead of hiding it.
The model and the British record manager have been lovers since April 2021. In April 2023 they tied the knot in a dream wedding in France. Numerous stars were present at the wedding, including Cameron Diaz (51) and Paris Hilton (42). The latter already congratulated the couple in the comments: “Oh my God! I’m so happy for you, sister! Congratulations!! I love you so much!”
