Actor Ke Huy Quan (51) highlighted the nomination of Asian actors in important categories ahead of this year’s Oscars. “When something like this happens, it only strengthens my belief that drastic changes are possible,” he said in a “People” interview. The Vietnamese native is nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. The Oscars will be presented in Los Angeles on March 12th.

The Oscar nomination is also special for him because “Everything Everywhere All at Once” was nominated at the same time as “The Fabelmans” by director Steven Spielberg. “This man changed my life when I was a little kid – he gave me not one but two great movies,” said Quan, referring to his roles in The Goonies and Indiana Jones, according to People and the Temple of Doom”.
