Pop singer Lena Meyer-Landrut (32) is going on tour again for the first time in years next summer. On stage she struggles with her memory. “I’m known among my fans for constantly forgetting my lyrics. I forget the lyrics of old songs and also of the new ones. I have a real quirk there,” she told the German Press Agency. In moments like this, she gets back into the songs relatively quickly. “Or the first ten rows will help me.”
This Friday the musician (“Satellite”, “Better”) released her new single “Straitjacket”. On the cover and in the music video she shows herself with a long, blonde ponytail. These are artificial extensions.
“I like to try out new things and play with looks. I want to show my artistic changes not only musically, but also visually – for example through looks, clothes, make-up or hair,” said Meyer-Landrut.
After “What I Want”, “Straitjacket” is the next precursor to the new album, which is due to be released in the spring. The Hanover-born singer’s tour starts on June 1st in Leipzig.
