There’s no other way to put it: The TV format “Sing my song – the exchange concert” is a real hit. Since 2014, the show has brought together completely different singers in front of the fascinating backdrop of South Africa in order to send them on a musical journey full of goose bumps.
The basic principle of the show is as simple as it is ingenious: In each episode, the invited musicians cover the biggest hits of another participant and thereby present the songs in a completely new light. In contrast to formats such as “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, the songs and the respective performances of the guests are treated with extreme respect.
For the anniversary of the successful format, the broadcaster VOX has brought a top-class party team to the villa on the outskirts of Cape Town. In addition to participants who are there for the first time, some well-known “Sing mein Song” faces will also come by. As in the last two seasons, the presenter of the anniversary edition is again the singer-songwriter Johannes Oerding (41). Alli is making her debut on “Sing meine Song” and is sure to create a good atmosphere at the anniversary party.
